Hospice care from LifeChoice includes everything a family needs when a loved one has a serious illness: nursing and personal care, medical equipment, grief and bereavement counseling, spiritual support, and 24/7 on-call help. Physical support at LifeChoice covers the hands-on side of care: personal care assistants for bathing, grooming, and daily activities, medical equipment delivered and set up at home, nutritional counseling, speech and occupational therapy, health education, and real relief for burned-out family caregivers.
Emotional support gives patients and families room to process what is happening: grief counseling before and after a loss, bereavement counseling for up to 13 months, trained emotional support volunteers, and a bereavement coordinator who stays with your family.
Spiritual support meets people wherever they are: chaplain visits, spiritual counseling rooted in your own faith or in none, and help finding meaning and peace in life's final chapter.
Hospice care is for anyone with a serious illness whose physician certifies a life expectancy of about six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Choosing hospice shifts the focus from curative treatment to comfort and quality of life. For eligible patients, the Medicare hospice benefit covers hospice care in full, including nursing visits, medications related to the terminal illness, medical equipment, home health aide support, and family counseling.
